For this year’s ALTER festival, we have invited four remarkable writers to contribute a diverse array of scenic texts for a book available to all attendees.

Each contribution offers a unique perspective on lives that oscillate between the extraordinary and the intimate. Anders Abildgaard, who has been publishing since his debut Sætninger in 2006, pushes the boundaries of language through various experiments. Anton Gregers Mikkelsen crafts graphic stories where surreal creatures roam whimsical landscapes, often leading to unexpected outcomes. Earlier this year, Celine Szabó released her debut, Fremkaldelser, a collection of poems that captures moments of care and the intimate beauty of everyday life. Finally, Melanie Kitti, a Swedish artist and author, writes poetry that is both fierce and poignant, blending raw emotion with lyrical sorrow.
